Benefiting Rebuilding Together - AFF

The DC chapter of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) is one of the largest of the 11 national chapters (our international chapter is in Japan) and one of the most diverse in its membership. Our mission statement is "inspiring collaboration within the furnishings and design industry to support its people, their products and services". As an international association we are working toward building a legacy of leadership and service through the core values of respect and education. But we go well beyond that to meet the interior design needs of the sophisticated and well-informed home owners in and around the Nation’s Capital.

As a group we are professionals in a wide range of disciplines and fields. We are designers and decorators, renovators and fine artists, experts in all areas related to beautiful interiors such as flooring, wall coverings and fabrics, furniture and furnishings, and construction materials.

The International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) is pleased to announce their 7th Annual Masquerade Ball!  This year we will be honoring Rebuilding Together - AFF as our beneficiary.

Repairing Homes. Revitalizing Communities. Rebuilding Lives.

While many take the steps to maintain their home or the home of a family member, there are thousands of area homeowners who struggle to make simple repairs, resulting in snowballing problems year after year.

Rebuilding Together Arlington/Fairfax/Falls Church (Rebuilding Together-AFF) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that serves low-income homeowners and nonprofits.  Volunteers repair and upgrade homes at no charge to the owner with a focus on health, safety and accessibility for every home.

The mission of Rebuilding Together-AFF is making sure everyone has a safe and healthy home. They help low-income homeowners with critical repairs, and we help seniors with modifications they need to age in place. Rebuilding Together-AFF gives special priority to seniors, people living with disabilities, families with children and veterans.

Rebuilding Together-AFF also works with other nonprofit housing organizations in need. Rebuilding Together-AFF works hard to make sure that nonprofits have the ability to make critical repairs and upgrades to maintain their facilities in good condition ensuring that their resources are used for their mission.

Another facet of the mission of Rebuilding Together-AFF is educating the community, sharing practical knowledge and advice with senior centers, housing expos and other workshops, on how to make their homes safer and healthier and ways to modify a home to safely age in place.

Join us in supporting Rebuilding Together-AFF mission in supporting local homeowners in need.
